ALHum and IOHum met as acoustic players a couple of years ago and in early 2008 agreed to combine recording ideas. AC Hum is the result. Like an AC current, you're never quite sure where it is heading at any point in time...that's how the first song Electricity was written. They're gonna stay on that line and write more. There is even the potential that If they get enough, they might even take them to the stage, live and ungrounded!
Little Pebble is a member of the Fence Collective, a squad of musicians grown from fine seeds in the East Neuk of Fife...a brilliant place. Also is proud to be a part of Timbreland Recordings camp featuring some great artists. Pebble has written and recorded with Corn Capri and We Mythical Kings. Iona Marshall sings and her crystal, angelic voice is immediately spell-binding. Iona’s ethereal qualities are clear - a strong connection to the spiritual west coast island of Iona, her grandfather was a minister and was involved in the founding of the Iona community. However, she is also an insightful, dynamic, 21st century singer-songwriter. Her unique song-craft has been honed over many years, blending life-long influences with modern interpretations and experimentation. These elements have finally culminated in a fusion of intense, beautiful vocals, beats, keys, samples, harmonica and melodic, acoustic guitar hooks. |
